Radial symmetry has always fascinated me - a bilaterally symmetric observer - as it reveals an alternate pathway of biological design, that has flourished over eons and led to fascinating life forms such as this plate coral. Why radially symmetric animals are all marine invertebrates and none are found on land is another question which I can only guess at.
