There is no doubt poverty in India is rampant, but having lived there, you learn to spot the pros and the cons. This gentleman is a pro. His eyes were bright and sparkly. His hands were clean and well manicured. Not a trace of the ashen grey, or cracked skin you see on the truly impoverished. I was tempted to ask what brand of razor he uses before going to work, but thought better of it. It is heart wrenching to see these scenes day after day, But reality is not always what it seems.
