This is an old favorite, taken on the farm in Missouri. My son and our young Great Pyrenees, Keena, enjoying a sunset in the cedar grove. My son is an only child. The love he has for our pets fills the gap where sibling love would be. While I can't give him the sibling he craves, I can fill his life with love of animals. I have raised quite the animal lover in him and I'm so proud of that.

Yes I do love the backlight in your frame, and the moment between your son and Keena. But what makes this photo for me is your caption: "I miss her being a puppy. That time can be so fleeting. Just like with children." So true. So poignant. So honest. I love it.
