    Reported by:

At Londolozi Game Reserve, I spotted an adolescent male lion. He was injured and dejected yet still focused on placing one paw in front of the other. I waited for him to walk from the tall grasses and intentionally left him in the background of the photo in soft focus to showcase how I felt he was playing an insignificant role compared to other male (king) lions. Without a pride, this young lion will struggle to survive, but such is the harsh reality of the wild. Only the strongest live on.
