Recently I've made a road trip in Portugal, driven just over 1800 km in 15 days to find good food and beautiful scenery. I have seen 19 villages, towns and cities. Throughout of the trip, I had the opportunity to stay in Monsanto. It is a village, a small tiny village with less than 1000 habitants. Monsanto has bene chosen as the best Portuguese village back in 1938 and since than not much has changed. Narrow streets and beautiful stone houses are well kept by the owners and thankfully they have
