Manta Reef
The Hawaiian Manta Ray generally grows to about ten feet or three meters wide. Mantas are plankton feeders, filtering rich zooplankton from the Sea. Each Manta has distinctive markings, both above and below, however researchers primarily use the markings on the underside to identify the different animals when they are sighted. This is an image of an Hawaiian Manta gliding over the coral reef. Photographed off the Kohola Coast of Hawaii, Hawaii.
