On the way home from an excursion I took a country road recently when I noticed a male pheasant standing at the road side. Unfortunately, he had disappeared into a field by the time I had stopped the car and gotten my camera. I was just about to turn back slightly disappointed when his hen very coolly crossed the street and passed me by.
