    Reported by:

During my early morning walk I heard nothing but the thrum of several bees as they went about their work collecting pollen from these wild "Dog -roses". They derive their name from the old word "dag" for dagger which refers to it's thorns & the tale of the Devil who was tormented by the thorns when he fell from grace and landed in a wild rose bush !!
