A sense of amazement and accomplishment overcame me as we emerged onto this deserted beach after a long trek through the dense Redwoods. Alone on the beach, we took in the awesome scene for almost an hour before we headed back the way we came on the grueling hike that got us here. As I imagined what it must have been like to be the first person to step foot in this place, my girlfriend snapped this triumphant pic.
