While walking through the ancient fort in Nizwa, I kept crossing paths with this Omani family, who were also visiting the fort. The fort is, on few pieces of furniture left, mostly empty. This box intrigued me, left alone in the empty room, created a bit of a pandora's box feeling. what will happen when we open it, what can it tell about the past? When the family left the room, I had to take this photo, as it felt like another generation is leaving the room behind, making it the past for them.
