A woman is going to take her basket with bread and eggs, to be blessed after the Resurrection service, held in Carcaliu, Romania. In the 18th century, the Lipovans rejected Russian Orthodox Church reforms, a stance that made them no longer welcome in Russia, despite being native to its land. To this day, the community preserves old Orthodox rituals and Pentecost is one of their most important celebrations.
