    This little American Kestrel (Falco sparverius) may look sweet, but not if you're an insect, rodent, or small bird. Another name for this bird is "Sparrow Hawk" because of cravings to prey on House Sparrows. These birds have become quite common in our back field where we also have many little sparrows for them to hunt.
