    This was captured using my iphone on the way to Leh,(Ladakh) from Sarchu, Himachal Pradesh. The plains that appear bare now are all covered in snow for almost 9 months. This road connects Manali to Leh and is open for vehicle movement only for about 4 months during summer when the high passes are clear of snow.
