My new project is to shoot the few remaining artisans in the Oltrarno neighborhood of Florence. Each one of these men, not only an impressive skill, but also at least a 40 - year history of working this skills. High real estate prices, lower commissions and a young generation who prefers to work in a corporate environment, are subjecting these living arts to extinction. I am holding an exhibit with their pictures in Florence (August) and NYC (October) as a way to support them.
