In contrast to the poor farm workers and their "gift" goat is the far more affluent landowner's ostriches which generates great income and supply the fashion world with high end products in terms of hides for handbags, shoes etc... and feathers for various decorative uses. The contrast in the lives of these two categories of people (employees and employers) is profound and stares one in the face at every turn in the semi-rural Eastern Cape of South Africa.
