Howrah Flower Market
The Howrah flower market has long been a tourist destination because of its exquisite wholesale flowers from around the country. As you walk into the market, you are greeted with buzzing bees that visit the heaps of colourful flowers and vendors squatting on the floor calling out names of the flowers they sell. The market is built around 100 year old abandoned buildings on the riverside, and sunlight filters through tarpaulin strung between bamboos to keep out the torrential monsoon rains.
