After a long day of exploring the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia I ventured outside of our accommodations at sunset. I found this llama skull nearby and thought it was a beautiful irony to photograph something at the end of its life against such a gorgeous and lively background. The desert is a harsh and striking landscape teeming with these contradictions.
