Perhaps our Asian faces were very different and new to him and aroused his curiosity. Despite the poor conditions, the dirt on his clothes, body, and even his milk bottle, and a rather large wound on his left foot, this child had engaging eyes and even offered us milk with a warm smile. We were on an overland trip and the tour bus had stopped for a break at a rural non-touristy place when we encountered this very large-hearted child somewhere in Namibia.
