Rafflesia, the largest existing flower
I shot this picture of a Rafflesia on July 18th 2016 on Kota Kinabalu mountain, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It's hard to find one, this flower begin blooming at night and start to decompose only two to three days later. Rafflesia is a flowering plant parasitizing the vine. It’s seed germinate after being digested by particular rodents. I took this picture because this is the largest existing flower . The flower may be over 100 centimetres in diameter, and weigh up to 10 kilograms
