    Lighting a diya (the traditional oil lamp) is part of every Hindu household. It's one of those things that has not changed with time. Something that even with all the modern equipments people have chosen not to replace. I mean, you could use an electric lamp but I believe that the way a lamp lights up and its's dancing flames have a beauty that no electric light can ever match.
