A circus performer spinning as part of the circus display at the annual local agricultural show. The balloon is being held by a child in front of me enjoying the act. I loved the movement in the scene, so I decided to try slowing my shutter speed down to try and capture it.

Katy, I love this photograph. Everything about it communicates the whimsy of the circus and it does this in a lyrical rather than a literal way. Your use of a slow shutter speed - allowing for a touch of motion - doesn't feel forced and is used with purpose. Lastly, your inclusion of the balloon adds balance to the frame and makes this a very fun image. Well done!
