    A helicopter drops water on the "Papoose" forest fire flames near Creede, Colo., during the West Fork Fire Complex in 2013. The West Fork Complex Fire, burned about 14 miles northeast of Pagosa Springs and consisted of three wildfires — the West Fork, Windy Pass and Papoose fires — that were combined into a single complex on Sunday, June 16, 2013. In the end, more than 110,000 acres were burned. Only one small outbuilding was consumed.
