This photo of a wild (not captive) Orange-winged Amazon Parrot was photographed in the northern Amazon river basin (Cuyabeno, Ecuador). Shooting wildlife photos in jungles and rainforests can be very challenging: wet, dark, and oftentimes rainy. In this case I was forced to use a speed light (flash) to get the image with all of its color and feather detail.
