Several nights of the week, Daddy doesn't make it home from work in time to enjoy dinner with the family. That makes the days that he is home much more special. The kids alternate who gets to sit next to him based on where they sat at the last meal. Our daughter often ends up in his lap regardless of whether it's her "turn" or not. Dinner is normally followed with silly jokes, tickles, and lots of laughter.
