I'm lucky that the backcountry is my office. I've noticed that no matter how many times I hike the same trail, I still have moments where I'm covered in goosebumps. I think the secret is to indulge in people, your surroundings and respect the resources around you. Sometimes when I plunge into a glacial lake, I'm reminded that the water has been frozen for centuries. I get to be part of it, learn about it, and understand why we should protect it.
