Ama Dablam
I have read that in the Sherpa language Ama Dablam means "mother with a charm box, but my Guide, said that A.D. means,'"Mother holding child". I loved looking towards this mountain, every day as I trekked, it guided me and I felt as I was in heaven on earth. Some of us who have been to this region stare at this peak many times, somtimes when one is not looking directly at the next foothold because of safety or pausing for the Yaks to pass, we look up and there A.D. is, giving strength, beauty
