Edit Photo Details Intermediate Egret   #debasish
The intermediate egret stalks its prey methodically in shallow water, including flooded fields to catch fish, frog, insect etc. I captured the image in January 2016 while I was boating on Chupisar lake a vast water body formed by the meandering river Ganga, over last 40 years, the area has transformed into a closed loop, allowing emergence of the oxbow lake in Burdwan, West Bengal.
