Diffused light of the sun by micro dust in the air and micro ice crystals of the cloud will create various rainbows. This rainbow of the photo which is rounded around the sun is called Halo. Write 暈 in Japanese. It is seen when thin clouds in the sky has spread high in the sky. It has big spread than it looks. You will need a wide-angle lens to take photo of the whole appearance of the halo.
