Ant on Wild Tansy
This is a perennial plant that grows near a marshy area nearby. In the past it was considered medicinal and has an odd, almost camphor-like scent and is known to be a fly repellent. The Finnish people use it as a green dye. Some say it was used as a remedy for gout in the olden days. I find the dried flower heads useful as an addition to my flower arrangements and late fall dried bouquets.
