While traveling in Georgia and Armenia we had ample opportunity to visit and photograph many historic churches. Most of the time the religious ceremonies proceeded as if we weren't there. In this photo a priest in the Sioni Church in Tbilisi, Georgia, was baptizing a young boy. The youngster was completely mesmerized by the ornate ceiling, and didn't mind being handled by a stranger, and the priest didn't mind being photographed.
