My family hiked the 5 hour Skaftafellsheidi loop in Vatnajokull National park that took us up to a view of Morsardalur, Morsarjokull and the iceberg lagoon at its base. My son had been carrying a smoke bomb that he decided to light after finding this outcrop on the edge of the plateau.
