Not very smart,,but cute. ostriches have brains at the size of a pea. They grab everything they can get ... And swallow it! One even found batteries in their stomach. They don't bite, just peek and it doesn't hurt very much if you stay calm. There are people who offer ostrich ridings for commercial reasons of course. Stay away from those organizations if you can, it's torture for the animals!
