    My aim is to portray the beauty of natural hair. For the Black community, the legacy of colonialism has left many of us to believe that our hair in it's natural kinky state is not beautiful and not acceptable in the workplace unless it is tamed. Straightened hair is so common that the term "Going Natural" has indicated that wearing natural hair for Blacks is a diversion from the norm.
