Hair as an Identity
We carry our genes in our hair; our hands shape it, craft it, design it; we twirl it in times of fun, flip it in times of pride, and pull it in times of anguish. It speaks of a part of ourselves we don't need to articulate. Even it's absence, it can represent us... So I carry the twirls of the trees, the curves of the mountains, and the waves of the shores of my islands on the top of my head and in the core of my being.
