It was over in the blink of an eye! A quick blur, an expected ruckus --yet I heard nothing. I grabbed my camera, looked out the window, and there he was with his kill, resting on the patio: the Victorious Coopers Hawk and the Vanquished Cardinal. I was able to focus and get two images before he was off. It was a disturbing image to see, yet that is often the way of Nature. As beautiful as Cardinals are, the Hawk Family ate well that evening.
