In Toronto, a friend and I met this gentleman while we were photographing the rainbow colors that had been on display for Pride Day. His t-shirt supplied the one missing rainbow colour. He gave us an impromptu tour of his neighbourhood, regaling us with funny jokes and stories. However as he pointed us in the direction of the AIDS memorial, he commented with a heavy heart that many of the names engraved there were those of friends.
