    The Sri Lanka Birdwing (Troides darsius) is the largest butterfly on the island of Sri Lanka It is also endemic to the island. It is deep velvety black with yellow hindwings through which the sun shines. The female is larger than the male. The Birdwing's food of choice is Heliotrope. Photographed at Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm
