This was my first visit to Rocky Mountain National Park and I can't wait to go back and see amazing wildlife in their natural habitat. Elk gather in the meadow during the rutting season and bulls bugle to form harems of cows. As I watched this bull elk move, more heads kept popping up out of the grass where the cows were resting. There were nine cows in this photo and several more in the woods just beyond the field. This photo was taken at Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado.
