Potters' colony is a small colony in west side of New Delhi where the pottery is being done for over the decades. The picture is depicting the final and yet most essential step of the process, i.e. painting the statues. They use sponge to color every part of the statue and to keep it controlled. The statue then is ready to be sold in the market.
