    I love photographing sunrise and sunset, and I make it a point to look in all directions, because something amazing could be happening behind you. With towering, endless views, Haleakala is one of my favorite spots on Maui. As the sun was getting close to breaking the eastern horizon, the earth's shadow appeared to the west, along with the pink Belt of Venus, framing the Haleakala Observatory.
