Natural patterns
Natural patterns and geometric beauty are apparent. Every lobelia appears the same at first glance, but in reality every plant is slightly different, boasting its own unique pattern that is ever shifting. None are perfectly symmetrical or radial, yet all reflect orderliness and consistency.
This is a small, water holding lobelia plant on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The leaves open and close at different parts of the day to protect the water stored between their leaves.
