Saw this little guy while on a trip to Red Rocks Reserve, or Pariwhero in native Maori language, in Wellington, NZ. Red Rocks is located on the southern part of the North Island near Wellington and has black sand beaches and many seals. In the spot where I was there was somewhere around 30 seals. Some were fighting for the best laying spots and some were already comfortable and passed out like this one.
