Exit Glacier Receeding
Exit glacier and the ice field above it are melting. The water forms channels inside the ice that carry the water to ground level where it collects and emerges with a rush. Here you can see a cave carved by the emerging ice melt with the milky sediment filled water pouring out. This year the glacier has retreated by over 120 feet, the largest retreat in a single year.
