Mar Saba monastery considered to be one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, and still maintains many of its ancient traditions. One in particular is the restriction on women entering the main compound. It located in Judean Desert, somewhere half way between the old city of Jerusalem an the Dead Sea. This photography was taken at the sunrise, after night 12 km hike through Judean desert.
