    Reported by:

I had just gone into the kitchen for a cup of tea, when I noticed these two Northern Flicker males out on my deck, in Louisville, Colorado. They were competing for a female, probably, and were sitting on the railing, glaring at each other and doing a kind of head dance, one, then the other. I grabbed my camera just in time, because suddenly they both flew up into the air in a confrontation, and then they were gone.
