Carmen Miranda had a stage set, but my buddy Elena has an awesome garden on the Mediterranean island of Ischia, in the Bay of Naples, where she grows lemons, figs, pears, pomegranates, tangerines, oranges, grapes, olives, avocados... While trimming what was ripe, we fashioned a temporary hat.
