An aircraft carrier is docked at Mayport Naval Station across the St.Johns River in Jacksonville FL. This was taken from Hugenot Beach where the St. Johns river and the Atlantic ocean meet. This river is extremely important to this area but unfortunately it's health has been compromised with years of neglect. To make matters worse the U.S Army corps of Engineers recently approved the dredging of 13 miles to accommodate larger post-Panamax ships.
