Meerkats are friendly animated creatures aren't they? This shot was taken on one of my many visits to Adelaide Zoo where the Meerkats are friendly, playful and delightful to watch. As gorgeous as they are, they rarely sit still, though I think this one, perched high above the others on a rocky ledge, was enjoying basking in the sunshine and happy to pose for a portrait shot!
