The summer after my high school graduation, my uncle took me on a trip as a graduation present. I was allowed to choose anywhere in the world, and I remember feeling so overwhelmed by the choices. I really wanted to explore outside, so I chose Patagonia. That decision is one of the best I have ever made. Going to Patagonia and seeing such astonishing beauty in jeopardy of being destroyed because of human action resulted in me changing my major to Environmental Science as soon as I got to school.
