Habits: Along slowmoving and swampy stretches of streams. Males call at night from hidden positions, low in the vegetation, up to 1.5 m high but sometimes also only a few cm above the
water. Black eggs (405 in one female) are laid in slowmoving
water. Conservation status: Least concern
